YouTube will now be putting ads on its site that users won’t be able to skip.
Adverts on the site can last for longer than a minute but users can skip through most adverts after a few seconds.
“Bumper ads” (the 6 second ads) are showing that more users are viewing content from YouTube on a mobile device.
The new adverts mean that companies can show adverts to users watching on a mobile device. Some of the new ads have been tested on mobile devices already, and companies can start buying the ads from May.
