WhatsApp, who are owned by Facebook, is removing the charging fee.
You may know that for the last few years, if you've been using WhatsApp, you have had to pay a subscription after 12 months. However, WhatsApp now say that the fee is being scrapped.
Currently, it costs about 69p per year to use WhatsApp. If you have just paid, you will not be getting your money back.
Although the charge is no more, WhatsApp stillhave to make money, but the good thing is, we won't be seeing adverts!
The charge was only introduced a few years ago, but it hasn't been working well.
A blog post on the WhatsApp Website says: "...over the next several weeks, we'll remove fees from the different versions of our app and WhatsApp will no longer charge you for our service."
WhatsApp has one billion users and they hope that by not having ads, this number will grow.
