Android Oreo has been out for a while now, and there's a cool feature that we want to share with you.
Users using the stock Android experience on devices like the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (by Google), get software updates almost right away. Other Android phone manufacturers that include Samsung, LG and HTC, don't get updates right away so you have to wait for them to be released.
Also, depending on the age of your phone or tablet, depends on if you get the update or not.
Anyway, enough of if, what, and when, let's talk about multitasking.
Some people can do it, and others can't, right? (ok, so everyone thinks they can, but we guess that's a story for another day).
There are so many great features that come inside the sweet new update: Android Oreo. A lot to mention at one time. Of course, we'll be sharing more with you as time goes on, but we think you'll like this one. So let's roll with it.
Having the ability to multitask is a good thing. And that's why you should upgrade to Android Oreo.
A new feature called "Picture-in-Picture" means that you CAN, really, do two things at once. #Wow.
You can see and use two apps at once. For example: you could be on a Skype call with your mate, and pinch the screen to the bottom of the phone, whilst checking your emails, using the Internet or texting. The possibilities are endless.
If you've been a Samsung user for a while, you'll know that you can already use two apps at once, thanks to the split screen mode. It works then you're using an app, then press the Recents key (bottom of the device, left hand side), and open other supported app. You will then see one app (Chrome, for example) on the top half of the phone, and Facebook, on the bottom part of the screen.
Never the less, go ahead - upgrade! Get in touch and let us know what you think and what you'd like us to look at and test, and we might do it!
