Sam Smith and Normani bag the number one spot on The Official Big Top 40 this week
Sam Smith's tune featuring Normani, steal the top spot on The Official Big Top 40 Chart Show with "Dancing With A Stranger" this week! This means Calvin Harris and Rag'n'Bone Man are no longer number one.
The first re-entry on the chart this week is from '7 Rings' star, Ariana Grande. Thanks to the upcoming release of the new studio album, 'thank u, next', her tune 'imagine' is back in the chart at number 35.
At number 34, it's a re-entry for Tyga with "Taste", featuring Offset.
The first new entry on the chart for Sunday 27 January 2019 is from Lewis Capaldi with "Someone You Loved". He faces a great start to the year as he's been nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the BRITs 2019! Where will it chart next week?
Panic! At The Disco re-enter the chart with "High Hopes", at number 28.
The second new entry on The UK's Biggest Chart Show comes from Bring Me The Horizon with "mother tongue". It charts at number 26 this week.
Everyone's favourite, Dua Lipa, is back in the chart with a brand new song! It is the soundtrack for a new Motion Picture film, "Alita: Battle Angel" and is called "Swan Song". It starts off life in the charts at number 22.
Today's guest was non-other than Sam Smith! He FaceTimed Big Top 40 Chart Show host, Will Manning, live from sunny Los Angeles, USA, to talk about his new single, which features Fifth Harmony band member Normani. It is called "Dancing with a Stranger".
He told the chart show host that he was at home over the festive period and has flown over to the sunny side to take a break from his on-going tour.
With the BRIT Awards 2019 getting ever closer, Will Manning also mentioned that Sam Smith has been nominated for the Best British Male award. Sam Smith will also be performing live at the awards show this year, alongside Rag'n'Bone Man and Calvin Harris.
Ariana Grande's "7 Rings" hit is inside the top three this week, at number 3. Her 'thank u, next' album is set for release in February this year.
The number two spot goes to last week's number one song "Giant", by Calvin Harris and Rag'n'Bone Man.
This means that we have a brand new number one on The UK's Biggest Chart Show! It was at number two last week so has swapped places with Calvin! That's right, this week's biggest song is from Sam Smith and Normani! "Dancing with a Stranger" is Sam's eighth number one on the chart.
