Good news for Apple Music subscribers as you'll soon be able to stream tunes from Apple Music directly to your Amazon Alexa Echo speaker.
This feature arrived to Echo speakers and devices back in December last year and Apple says that same feature will be rolled out to Echo devices within the next few weeks.
This is a long awaited feature that we've all been waiting for in the United Kingdom, especially those who currently subscribe to Apple Music. Apple Music is a streaming service created by Apple to take on the likes of Spotify and Amazon Music.
You'll be able to use voice commands on Alexa to control your Apple Music library and account. For Example: "Alexa, play 'Thank U, Next' by Ariana Grande on Apple Music". Or: "Alexa, play songs by David Bowie on Apple Music". You can also ask commands like: "Alexa, play Today’s Hits on Apple Music".
When this feature and music needed Alexa skill arrives in the UK, head to the 'Skills' section of the Alexa app and enable the Apple Music skill and sign-in using your Apple ID and link your account to complete the setup process.
Another great and time-saving feature of allowing Apple Music integration on Echo devices by Amazon, who's voice assistant is named Alexa, is being able to set Apple Music as the default music service. If you choose to do this, it means you won't need to say "on Apple Music" at the end of your requests.
