Fortnite creators Epic Games confirms the delay of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 until June

The latest season of Fortnite, Chapter 2, Season 3, has been delayed until June, confirms Epic Games in a blog post whom create the popular, free-to-play online video game.

This new season was due to be released around the world on April 30 but instead has now been pushed back and is due to be released on June 4, according to Epic Games' post.

The aim for all battle royal games, such as Fortnite, is to be the last player standing. You can work together in teams though thanks to Xbox Live and PlayStation Plus.

We're unsure if this is due to the current coronavirus outbreak that's affecting the world globally but our guess is that is has had some sort of negative impact, hence why Season 3 of Chapter 2 cannot be released as originally planned.

In their blog post, the Fortnite team say:

"There’s lots of content coming in the current Season. We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises up our sleeve!"
