Sony have released some of the titles available on the new PlayStation Plus service

What is PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation Plus isn't here yet but it's on the way.

It is a paid for service from Sony PlayStation allowing you to play online multiplayer games with friends on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, a little bit like Xbox Live Gold, which allows you to chat to friends online and play multiplayer games.

Available plans for PlayStation Plus

There are three membership plans to choose from, each offering something slightly different. Here are the different plans:

PlayStation Plus Essential: online multiplayer access, two PlayStation 4 games and one PlayStation 5 game to download every month, discounts and more.

PlayStation Plus Extra: all the benefits of PlayStation Plus Essential, explore gaming experiences using the Game Catalog, which allows you to download a load of PlayStation 4 and 5 games to play.

PlayStation Plus Premium: access to benefits available in the Essential and Extra packages, as well as time-limited game trials, Classic Catalog games and cloud streaming, allowing you to play games from each catalog without having to wait for the game to download. You'll need a decent internet connection for game streaming.

When you download a game available from your PlayStation Plus subscription, you'll be able to keep it for as long as you subscribe to the service. PlayStation Plus also allows you to play games with online multiplayer, meaning you can battle friends and explore game maps together in games including Call of Duty: Vanguard, Grand Theft Auto Online and FIFA 22 from EA Sports, just to name a few.

What titles have been announced on PlayStation Plus?

Today, PlayStation have announced a huge array of games you'll be able to play on the service. In PlayStation's blog post, they state the games available vary by region.

Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar will be available, as well as God of War (2018), Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 3 Remaster and Far Cry 4, NBA 2022,
