You can pre-register for the latest turn in technology: the Galaxy Fold from Samsung
Reviewers all over the world have manage to get their hands on the latest piece of game changing technology: the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which was unveiled at Samsung's Unpacked Event on 20 February 2019.
One YouTuber, Lewis Hilsenteger, who hosts Unbox Therapy has been speculating about what the Galaxy Fold smartphone come tablet will be like, as well as posting up an unboxing video on his channel on 15 April 2019, which has over 11,530,000 views.
He's also uploaded a video which gives an insight into what gaming is like on the Galaxy Fold, comparing basic arcade games to high-powered shooting games like PUBG and seeing what it's like to play a game that's normally suited and played on a device that would fit in the palm of your hand, like the iPhone X or Samsung Galaxy S10.
Today, however, he's uploaded a video of him folding the device one thousand times. If you've watched it already, you'll know it's called: "Folding The Samsung Galaxy Fold One Thousand Times" and it has over 266,810, which'll climb later on.
In the video, like the title suggests, Lew folds and unfolds the Fold 1000 times and times himself using the Stopwatch app on an iPhone X and times himself doing so. He manages a fantastic time of 19 minutes, 18 seconds.
On their website, Samsung claim they've tested the folding capability of their next generation device and have tested that it can be folded up to 200,000 times and in the small print on their website, it says: "200,000 folds estimate based on internal testing conducted by Samsung."
In the description of the newly uploaded video by Unbox Therapy: "Samsung has rated the Galaxy Fold for 200,000 folds. That's 100 folds per day for 5 years. The average smartphone user unlocks their phone 80-120 times per day. The test in this video simulates 10 days of Samsung Galaxy Fold usage."
We think this is a fantastic video that the Unbox Therapy and Lewis Hilsenteger have produced, so we wanted to share it with you all. It's great to see this type of test being carried out!
