Taylor Swift knocks Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber off No.1 with new track 'You Need To Calm Down'

Taylor Swift bags the number one spot with 'You Need To Calm Down'

Its finally happened! Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have been knocked off of the number one spot. Their tune 'I Don't Care' slips to number 2 after 6 weeks at the top! Taylor Swift's latest single, 'You Need To Calm Down' is the UK's new number one song.

Our first new entry comes from rapper Stormzy. He's produced hits which include 'Shut Up', Too Big For Your Boots' and his more recent one, 'Vossi Bop'. Stormzy new track 'Crown' charts at number 37 this week.

'Hold On We're Going Home'! Drake's 'One Dance' has landed him our second new entry of the week. Coming in very high in the chart, 'Money In The Grave' featuring Rick Ross, is at number 17.

Just getting into the Top 10 is our third brand new entry. It is from Shawn Mendes AND Camila Cabello! 'Señorita' manages to get to number nine this week. This isn't the first time they've teamed up together. The pair have also collaborated back in 2015 with a song titled 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'.

Chart show host Will Manning was joined by the lovely Little Mix ladies on the show today and they were eager to find out where their new single 'Bounce Back' charted today. It did a fantastic job this week as it's in the Top 3 at number three! The Little Mix girls are also currently staring in Celebrity Gogglebox, which is airing on Channel 4 for the next few weeks on Fridays.

There was also a huge shock around the UK today as it was revealed that Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran have been knocked off of the number one spot. Their track 'I Don't Care' has been firmly at number one for the past SIX weeks!

Sadly, that's no more as Taylor Swift's bowled them right off the throne! 'You Need To Calm Down' is now our new number one tune right across the UK! We suspect that has nothing to do with her new music video dropping a few days ago... Both Taylor and Katy Perry can also be seen making friends, again.

Will Taylor Swift make it two weeks at the top? Find out with us and The Official Big Top 40 team next Sunday. The UK's biggest chart show is LIVE every Sunday from 4-7pm with host Will Manning.
