Twitter adds a search bar for DMs on iOS app and the web

Search for your DMs on Twitter

Never before have you been able to search your DMs on Twitter - until now.

On 14th August, the social media company announced in a tweet that it is now possible to search through your Direct Messages (DMs) on Twitter.

Currently, this new feature is only being tested on the iOS app and on the web at twitter.com. To use the new DM search bar, simply visit the iOS app or website, head over to the messages section and you'll see the search bar.

It's a very useful feature if you have many direct message conversations on the go and don't want to keep scrolling up and down to find the messages you want to read or need to respond to.

At the moment, it hasn't landed on the Twitter for Android app but if the trail goes well, we're hoping that it will very soon.
