Ukraine won the contest over all, taking the number one spot, with a total of 631 points, from both the jury votes and public votes. It was a rap-folk band.

The United Kingdom's entry this year was Sam Ryder with his performance of 'Space Man'. The United Kingdom finished Eurovision 2022 in second place, which its best result since 1998.

'Space Man' soared to the top spot in the jury vote, securing 283 points but Ukraine then took the UK's position at the top when the public votes were added. The UK came 5th in the public vote.

Second place for the United Kingdom is great. in 2019 and 2021, the United Kingdom finished the song contest in last place and hadn't been in the top ten since 2009.
