The official Android Pay app is available to download

A few months ago, we reported on Android Pay, telling you all the useful facts, including what banks and building societies signed up to use the cleaver application.

Now though, we've back to give you more.

Head over to the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for "Android Pay". You'll find it's by "Google, inc".

In our previous post about Android Pay, we told you that you're able to use it in shops to pay for items, and this is still the case. But, what we didn't tell you is that you can use Android Pay in other apps in your device too! This'll be for things such as in-app purchases.

Using Android Pay in shops

Using Android Pay in shops is easy. All you have to do is wake-up your phone and place it near a contactless reader. That's it, you're done. Oh, and you don't need to be in an app either.

You can set a default card as well as adding gift, loyalty, debt and credit cards. For example, you could add a £15 gift card(s) as well as a reward card(s).

Paying with Android Pay in applications

If you don't like entering your payment information into an app every time you make an in-app purchase(s), just tap Android Pay and they'll do the rest for you. That's even simpler.
