The Official Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart of the Year 2018 with Marvin Humes and Kat Shoob



It's the last chart of the year!

Today is the last Official Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart of 2018! It's also the last ever chart show for hosts Marvin Humes and Kat Shoob, too.

The chart is being revamped in 2019 and will be hosted by radio DJ, Will Manning.

For now, though, current hosts Marvin Humes and Kat Shoob have been counting down the Chart of the Year to find out who'll be crowned number one.

Last week saw the Christmas Chart and YouTuber and Dad, LadBaby, was crowned number one with his charity single: "We Built This City... On Sausage Rolls!

The hosts have been countdown the most played, steamed and tunes downloaded over the past weeks. They've also been picking out some of the best songs and moments from the year, both on-air during the show and on social media.


Jax Jones and Ina Wroldsen are at number 20 in the chart of the year with huge dance track "Breathe".

One of Rita Ora's singles "Anywhere" has been a big player in the Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart this year too. Its featured in the chart of the year and is number 19 this week.

At number 18 on the chart of the year, it's singer and music producer Calvin Harris. His song "Promises", with singer Sam Smith had been number one for a few weeks throughout the year.

Lil' Dicky and Chris Brown chart at number 17 in the chart of the year with their tune "Freaky Friday. Kendall Jenner also features on the track.

Dua Lipa has had many hits on The Official Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart this year. "IDGAF" [I Don't Give A F], charts at number 18.

The 2018 chart wouldn't be complete without Drake, would it? He's responsible for a whole host of tunes, including "God's Plan", which charts at number 15.

At number 14 in the chart of the year is Sigala featuring Paloma Faith with "Lullaby".

One of the biggest movies of 2018, The Greatest Showman, has been on the chart for months and months. Its official songs and soundtracks have been featured on the chart. Popular artists such as P!nk have also covered some of the songs.

Keala Settle and The Greatest Showman crew chart at number 13 with the official soundtrack to the movie: "This Is Me".

Ex One Direction band member Liam Payne and Rita Ora have teamed up for this next track. "For You" charts at number 12.

Up next is Essex star Anne-Marie. She's had hit after hit in 2018 with songs such as "2002", "Perfect To Me" and "Friends", featuring Marshmallow. Her tune "2002" charts at number 11, just missing out on the top 10.

At number 10, we have Zedd, featuring Maren Morris and Grey. "The Middle" is one of the biggest songs of 2018 and was very popular in the US when the track was released.

Number nine comes from David Guetta and Sia with "Flames".

Jess Glynne charts at number eight with "I'll Be There". It's fair to say she has had her fair share of Big Top 40 awards over the year!

Number seven goes to Maroon 5 and Cardi B with "Girls Like You".

Ex band member Camila Cabello's solo album is fantastic. One of her biggest songs of 2018, "Never Be The Same" charts at number six on The Official Big Top 40.

Portugal The Man's ever so catchy tune "Feel It Still" slips into the Top Five on the chart of the year!

Demi Lovato and out of this world band, Clean Bandit, also feature on the chart of the year 2018 with "Solo".

Popstar Ariana Grande has made it to the top THREE in the Big Top 40 Chart with Marvin and Kat. Her single "No Tears Left To Cry" It spent three whole weeks at the top of the chart this year.

Jess Glynne is back in the number two spot and this time brings with her band Rudimental, Macklemore and Dan Caplen. "These Days" spent a total of nine whole weeks at number one earlier on in the year!

This means that the NUMBER ONE song of 2018 goes to... Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa with "One Kiss"!

That's the 2018 chart of the year complete. It it also the last ever Big Top 40 Chart Show for hosts Marvin Humes and Kat Shoob.

Will Manning will be taking over and can be heard on a revamped version of the chart on January 6 2019 on Capital FM and Heart.
