Reports suggest we could see a brand new Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm very soon
We could be seeing a brand new Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm this week as reports suggest they could be unveiling a brand new one.
News website express.co.uk have mentioned that a brand new Snapdragon 865 processor could be announced at Qualcomm's keynote event this week.
As of with any new processor, the 865 will be much more powerful then the 855 that we see today, as the technology has evolved and improved, and with newer, faster processors means better, faster performance.
The Snapdragon will then become the predecessor of the current powerful 855 processor which can be found in many of this year's top-end Android smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy S10 range and the Galaxy Note 10 range of smartphones.
And the 865 processor could be powering the top-tier smartphones for 2020 too!
Technology website Android Authority has also mentioned that some of the 865 processors could also ship with a built-in 5G modems. This will mean a wider choice of 5G ready phones as phone companies and makers can deploy them.
We will find out more about the brand new processor as Qualcomm's event gets underway from Tuesday this week.
