Elon Musk will 'resign as CEO' of Twitter once a replacement is found
After the Twitter poll Elon Musk put out on his personal Twitter account on December 18 confirmed he should step down as the chief executive officer of Twitter (57.5% of accounts who voted in the poll said Musk should step down), Musk tweeted he "will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!"
Elon Musk did say in his original tweet with the poll that he will 'abide by the results of this poll' and it seems as though he is doing so.
This is the first time Elon Musk has tweeted about resigning from his post since the poll closed and the results were in. Musk also said in the tweet he will "just run the software & servers teams", once he has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer and a replacement has been found.
Who could the new CEO of Twitter be? How long will it take to find a replacement? These are questions we do not yet know. It could be ex-CEO and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, who resigned as chief executive in November 2021.
